Hey everyone!  

Police in NZ attend a domestic abuse incident every 5 minutes.
If that isn't bad enough, imagine how many more they'd be attending if they were informed of ALL that occurred...

A common perception is that domestic abuse equals physical violence only. Domestic abuse actually includes any abusive behaviour that's a part of a systematic pattern of power and control perpetrated by one intimate partner against another. That includes wilful intimidation, physical violence, sexual violence, pyschological violence and emotional abuse.

Domestic violence is something I care about, so I want to make a difference by fundraising for Shine. The 4th - 10th of March is 'Light it Orange for Shine' week, during which we hope to raise awareness and raise funds to support Shine help more victims get safe and stay safe. I've set my donations page up early in hope of raising as much as possible.

Please support my efforts by making a secure donation (click the orange donate button to the right or down the bottom of the page) and posting a message of support. You can donate as little or as much as you like and you can choose to donate anonymously. It all helps!

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Shine (Safer Homes in NZ Everyday). If I do any cash-based fundraising, it will be taken into the bank and donated through this page too.
